How to apply

We welcome applications from UK, EU and international students with a wide range of qualifications and experience.

The following information should help to guide you through the application process and answer any questions you might have.

UK and EU students

Undergraduate students

All applications from home or EU students for full-time undergraduate courses at UK universities and colleges are made through UCAS.

Applications can be made online and cost £12 for a single choice and £23 for 2-5 choices.

Postgraduate students

Exact entry requirements may vary from course to course, but postgraduate applicants will usually be expected to have either an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject or extensive employment experience in the field

The main way to apply online is via the DMU applications portal. This method allows you to save, revisit and review your application before submitting it at any time of the day.

International  students

Applying for an undergraduate course

Option 1: Download the application form at dmu.ac.uk/intapp and return it, along with copies of the following documents, to the International Admissions Office at iao@dmu.ac.uk

  • A copy of your qualifications
  • A copy of your English language certificate
  • A photocopy of your passport
  • One reference

Option 2: Apply and submit your documents via the DMU Online Portal

Option 3: For undergraduate study, you also have the option of applying via the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). To apply to DMU you will need the UCAS Institution Code: DEM/D26

Applying for postgraduate taught course (Master's)

Option 1: Download the application form at dmu.ac.uk/intapp and return it, along with copies of the following documents, to the International Admissions Office at iao@dmu.ac.uk

  • A copy of your qualifications
  • A copy of your English language certificate
  • A photocopy of your passport
  • Two references

Option 2: Apply and submit your documents via the DMU Online Portal

Applying for a postgraduate research course (PhD)

Submit the research application forms, along with your supporting documents and research proposal, to the Graduate School at researchstudents@dmu.ac.uk
